How to get to our Marina
Williamstown Harbour is situated on the west side of Lough Derg, about 2 miles from the village of Whitegate, Co. Clare. Below are directions to our marina if you are coming by car.
 From Dublin If you are coming from Dublin the best approach is to take the N7/M7 heading south, via Kildare, turn off at the roundabout before Roscrea for Birr. Just before entering the main town of Birr follow directions to Portumna. Go straight through the main street of Portumna and keep going straight on the main road for about 15 miles, following the signs for Mountshannon, which will keep you on the main road to Whitegate. You will eventually see signposts for Whitegate and Shannon Castle Line. Take the road turning left towards the village of Whitegate. Take a right turn into the village and next left at the Whitegate Post Office. Take the next left again, passing the old creamery on your left. Continue down this road for about 2 miles, past the public harbour. The Shannon Castle Line Marina is about 500 yards from this harbour on the right. Alternatively, you could travel the slightly longer but more scenic route around Lough Derg as follows: Dublin-Kildare-Roscrea-Nenagh-Killaloe-Scariff-Mountshannon, and follow directions below.
 From Cork/Rosslare If you approach from Rosslare or Cork direction, you will head for Limerick and take the N7, Dublin direction. Take first left after Birdhill for Killaloe, then past Scariff and through Mountshannon. As you approach Whitegate from this direction, you turn right just before the village at the signpost for Shannon Castle Line. At the Nightingale Pub take the second turn right - also signposted, passing an old white and green building (the old creamery) on your left. Continue down this road for about 2 miles, past Dromann harbour. Our marina is 300 metres from this harbour on the right.
 From Galway From Galway, go through Loughrea and then to Portumna. Turn right onto the main road at Portumna, go past the Shannon Oaks Hotel and keep going straight on the main road for about 15 miles, following the signs for Mountshannon, which will keep you on the main road to Whitegate. You will eventually see signposts for Whitegate and Shannon Castle Line. Take the road turning left towards the village of Whitegate. Take a right turn into the village and next left at the Whitegate Post Office. Take the next left again, passing an old white and green building (the old creamery) on your left. Continue down this road for about 2 miles, past Dromann harbour.
